Mental health service platform provides around-the-clock psychological support during COVID-19 outbreak

The MOE-CCNU Mental Health Service Platform is a platform providing free mental health services to people in need during the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), especially medical staff, patients and their relatives, police officers and security professionals. More than 4,000 qualified psychological consultants have volunteered to participate in this project, among whom more than 1,000 are now working in shifts.

The platform is built through concerted efforts by several government bodies under the leadership of the Ministry of Education (MOE). The Central China Normal University (CCNU) is contributing significantly to its operation by helping to recruit volunteers, offering professional advice and monitoring, organizing onboarding training, and offering technical support.

The platform has been highly commended by users for its excellent and dedicated service. To better provide psychological support, the platform will extend its service hours from 14 hours (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.) to 24 hours starting from March 3, 2020.
