YANG Liu from Beijing Normal University believes that the learning crisis is manifested in the fact that students can't learn knowledge in the classroom, which is a lack of spatial functionality and needs to re-examine the design of learning environment.The traditional classroom design is not suitable for students' equal communication and effective learning, and the intelligent classroom with the wide application of new technologies may cause new privacy and ethical problems.
The traditional classroom design will create a natural and invisible boundary between teachers and students, and the flow of knowledge is one-way, passive, and teacher-led, which will hinder students' acquisition of knowledge and skills to a certain extent, and is also not conducive to students' group cooperation.
In addition, under the background of intelligent technology, the design of learning environment can easily fall into a new ethical crisis. For example, students are constantly scanned by intelligent recognition system under multiple cameras, and all their emotional characteristics are recognized by computer; Students' right to privacy has not been taken seriously, and the significance of education to "people" has also been lost.
He proposed that the learning environment of the school should be a friendly, open, free, inclusive, fair, safe and healthy place. The application of intelligent technology must be people-centered, and it is very important to build a student-centered learning space. He and his team designed an immersive future classroom "Illusion" based on intelligent interactive system, so that special children and ordinary children can communicate and collaborate on an equal footing in the same space to achieve educational equity.
